Women of Color Group Challenge

There’s a super cool group I joined on Facebook called Makeup for Women of Color.  Being pretty new to the group I didn’t expect to learn so much.  There is countless numbers of tutorials and loads of talent.  The name of the group would suggest that it is only for women but it isn’t.  There are male contributors as well.

This look I did was for the Juneteenthmakeupchallenge!  The administrators picked an African inspired makeup look.  This is my second challenge look for this group and I think I’m finally coming out of my shell.  Being an artist at heart, I decided to go find some inspiration by picking a country to base my look from.  I tried to combine tribal and modern-day makeup with the beautiful people of Somalia.

The challenge ends tomorrow and whether I win or not, I still feel as though I overcame my fear of jumping out there.  To me, I’ve already won by trying.  There are over 20,000 group members and counting! There’s also a ridiculously insane amount of talented hands and eyes.  I’m just happy to be able to share the little connection in the cyber world.
