Tarte’s New Babassu Foundcealer and #HighTidesandGoodVibes Palette

OMG! Tarte sent me their newest Hybrid Foundation-Skincare release along with their Foundcealer Sponge and Brush. This foundation is called the Babassu Foundation and of course Babassu is an ingredient and this is another vegan makeup option. Tarte is well know for their vegan products and formulas with less to no harmful chemicals.

The shade that I was sent is 44S Tan Sand. This shade is a pretty close match but is still a shade or two lighter than what I need. I have to tweak it some so I decided to use lighter layers and wear it like a face balm instead. The formula is thinner than I would have imagined compared to Tarte’s other foundation options but the coverage is still very nice.

The coverage is medium buildable like Tarte describes on the site. It has no smell to me and blends well with both the foundcealer brush and sponge. I haven’t seen any miraculous results at this point being that it is a skincare hybrid product. I also have to be fair and say that I haven’t worn it consistently enough to see the skincare benefits of wearing the Foundcealer. I have only had it for a couple weeks and worn it about four to five days.

#HighTIdesandGoodVibes

Okaaayyy! Let’s talk about this beauty right here… I purchased this palette the day it shipped to Sephora in store. I absolutely had to have it. I can assure you that it is even more beautiful in person. The palette itself is very sturdy which Tarte is also known for. The shadows are easy like always and the pressed glitters stick and stay without adhesive.

The High Tides and Good Vibes Palette ($39) is my very favorite palette from Tarte so far this year. This palette is super summery and I can’t wait to see how these colors look in the sun against dewy skin. I really appreciate the marine life greenish blues and peachy corals. This one is a must have if you are a Tarte fan.

This palette is versatile and fun. It’s apart of Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea collection. You can wear simple looks to glam looks like the one you see above. You won’t be disappointed and I recommend this palette to anyone in need of these colors who loves Tarte shadows. If you want to try pressed glitters that really work without ruining your eyeshadow underneath this one is it.

That’s all for now and I hope you enjoyed this review as much as I’m enjoying these products. I hope that you subscribe to this blog and connect with me on Instagram. I am open to suggestions on products to try. Feel free to share this post with fellow beauty lovers. Leave a comment if you have any questions about the products I mentioned above.
