Have you seen the Wired Collection from Urban Decay?
I was recently able to get my hands on their Wired Transforming Liners at Sephora. I also wanted to get the Wired Eyeshadow Palette but the store was completely sold out when I went. I was able to catch the two shades Fuse and Amped during their sale bringing them to $11 each. The original retail price per liner shade is $22.
These Liners are double ended with one side being a black liner and the other being a color transformer. If you buy more than one shade you’ll have plenty black liner to wear with or without using the transformer. The felt tip has a fine point and allows precision lining. However, the transformers shade’s end is thicker and allows less precision. They kind of remind me of magic markers and magic ink from when I was kid.
Here’s a demo of how they work!
There are two easy steps to applying:
- Step 1: Lay down the Black Liner to your desired proportion and let it dry completely. Make sure that the area is fully filled in and not wet before step two to get the best result. If you do not it will come out uneven in pigmentation and appear to have an inconsistent liner look.
- Step 2: Rub the transformer shade on top of the Black Liner.
Here are two makeup looks that I created using Urban Decays Wired Tranforming Liners in Fuse and Amped.
Overall I give them a 9.5 out of 10. They’re pigmented, pretty and easy to use. They can be removed just as easy as getting them on. My only issue is with the transformer tip. It has a thicker width than the felt tip of the black liner so it’s a little harder to get into the part inner corner closest to the tear duct. However, it can be accomplished and the transformer shade really only stands out on top of the black liner. You won’t be able to see any over linings unless you’re extremely close.
Have you tried anything from this collection? If so I’d love to see what you’ve created. Tell me in the comments what you think about these liners. Smooches!
